SDI Group UK has been shortlisted in the Materials Handling Equipment and Technology category for the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport’s Annual Awards For Excellence. The company has been selected for this prestigious accolade in recognition of its automated materials handling solution at Magna Automotive’s manufacturing and production site at Barton Business Park in Burton-on-Trent. The winner of the award will be announced at a Gala Dinner on Thursday 23rd October held at the London Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square. 

The Materials Handling Equipment and Technology Award is designed to promote excellence and outstanding achievement in the use of materials handling equipment and technology at any stage throughout the supply chain, including raw materials, manufacturing, distribution and retail operations. Entrants had to demonstrate technological improvements in design and equipment, as well proving the measurable operational and business benefits achieved by their system or solution.
